So You're Over Michael Kors? What Next?

Follow

Hello Everyone, it's been a long while since I posted anything fashion related over in these parts but, although I don't follow trends religiously, one thing I have got a bit of a lust for is handbags.

For quite a while now, Michael Kors has been dominating the scene with his gorgeous bags with a semi affordable price tag but, as time has gone by, it seems that everyone owns a MK bag, which has left some of us feeling a little 'over' the whole Michael Kors phenomenon but where does that leave us in terms of pretty and semi affordable designer bags? Well my friends, as a self confessed bag pervert, let me give you some of my favourite recommendations.

First up we have the Coach Swagger Leather Tote - I love coach bags, they have interesting shapes still have a nice young and fresh feel to them which is one of the reasons I love Michael Kors bags but you definitely don't see many of these floating around the high street.

Next we have the Burberry Peyton Canvas Clutch - for a while there, Burberry was a bit of a no no, it had become a bit of a stereotype label for the type of people who are drunk at midday but times have changed and Burberry is back to what it should be, stylish, statement and stunning.

For those of us who have lusted after a Mulberry Bayswater but been turned off by the high price tag, it can come as a shock that Mulberry also have bags more in line with a Michael Kors pricetag, the Mulberry Clifton Leather Cross-Body Bag is well worth a look, I love the orange and gold colour combo!

DKNY is another brand that makes bags I spend time lusting over, I love their clean and classic designs and also, their affordability. This is the DKNY Greenwich Small Leather Messenger Bag.

Finally, there's always something beautiful available from Marc Jacobs and this Recruit East West Leather Tote is no exception, seriously, just look at it!

I hope you've enjoyed this slightly different post today, I've certainly enjoyed sharing my bag lust with you.

  1. Oooh the Marc Jacobs bag is perfect. I love the colour. I have to admit though, I'm in the MK and I'm not over it yet. Maybe because mine is plain black and quite subtle, that and it was an absolute steal in an outlet in the US! xx

  7. Personally I really like your alternatives of MK bags, you're right - they're almost everywhere, but I haven't seen grandmothers carring this bag (yet). What about your selection, I felt in love with the one from DKNY - it has perfect color and size, I love it! Hope you're having lovely Monday, dear!

  21. Bags are the one thing I rarely lust over. I don't have a Pinterst board for them, I never spend more than 50€ on one and I never missed that. Your selevtion is pretty, but I stick with my Zara one that I bought years ago.
