Preparing Your Feet For Spring/Summer 2014

Hello Everyone!

Today we are talking about feet. Feet feet feet! The bane of some of our lives, they can look a bit strange and they can cause you stress as you browse the summer sandals and peep toes that start flooding the shops this time of year, but one thing is for certain, they're there at the bottom of your legs so you may as well make the most of them!

You can start by treating them to a little pamper, so often are our feet neglected it is hardly surprising that come spring/summer they don't look catwalk worthy (a winter of hibernation in thick socks and boots will do that) but show them a little kindness and they will reward you by helping you carry off this coming season's trend looks.
A perfect way to begin is a nice foot cream such as this one from Lotil. Having previously tried and loved Lotil's Original Cream (read the review here) I was pretty excited to try this foot cream out, containing Rosemary extract (a natural anti-oxidant that softens and moisturises skin) and Aloe Vera (which soothes cry cracked skin and is also great for sunburn) this sounds like a winner to me.

The cream is a soufflé texture and smells sweet and delicious, I love the smell of aloe products. It sinks in really quickly but you can also apply a thicker covering before bed, pop some socks on and have lovely soft feet in the morning.
You can pick this tub up from independent pharmacies for £5.49.

Of course what is a foot pamper without painting your nails?
I have used these Bio Sculpture nail polishes which dry to a nice shiny finish, make sure to apply a top coat to your nail polish to keep it lasting as long as possible.
The colour of the year this year is radiant orchid - a bright pink with purple undertones, that could be a good place to start with getting your nails on trend, I used both a purple pink and a deep tangerine with golden undertones to create a colour blocking effect.
You can pick these polishes up from the Bio Sculpture website for £6.45 each. There are loads of unique colours to choose from.

All in all I'm really looking forward to some foot pampering in the next few weeks before I break out the sandals and pray for the sun.

So there we have it, how are you getting yourself ready for the upcoming spring/summer?
Toodles xxx
